IFLA attends special session of the WIPO Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR)

A special session of the WIPO Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR) took place from 18-22 February 2013 in Geneva to reach consensus on the draft text of an international treaty on copyright limitations and exceptions for visually impaired persons and persons with print disabilities.

IFLA, EIFL, ICA and German Library Association Statement on a Treaty for the Visually Impaired at SCCR 25

Today IFLA, together with Electronic Information for Libraries (EIFL), the International Council on Archives (ICA) and the German Library Associations gave a statement on a Treaty for the Visually Impaired.

IFLA Signs Civil Society Statement on Exceptions and Limitations for Education at WIPO meeting

On Wednesday 18th July IFLA, along with seventeen other civil society organisations, signed a statement on copyright exceptions and limitations for educational purposes.

WIPO Copyright Committee: 24th meeting opens with discussions on copyright flexibilities

The 24rd meeting of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR) opened in Geneva. The 185 WIPO Member States will discuss copyright flexibilities for visually impaired and print disabled people, for libraries and archives and for education and research.
