Information Services (PM8)
Theme: "Libraries Plus: Adding Value in the Cultural
Community"
This conference – for the first time in Italy – is the
latest in the series of highly successful biennial conferences
organised since 1995 within Northumbria University,
Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. The Information, Knowledge and Systems
research group in the School of Computing, Engineering and Information
Sciences is pleased to announce its eighth conference in 2009 and to
issue this Call for Papers.
The conference is also an official satellite conference of the 75th
IFLA Congress to be held in Milan on 23-27 August 2009, and is
co-sponsored by the Statistics and
Evaluation Section and the Education and Training Section of
IFLA.
Audience
Librarians, information professionals, museum curators and records
managers leading and developing the measurement and monitoring of
performance in their institutions, and for lecturers and researchers
teaching and applying research methodologies.
Conference Topics
Conference presentations are sought in, but not limited to the

Proposals are invited for presentations in a variety of formats that
may include, but are not limited to:

- Workshops
Pre-Conference Workshop
There will be a LibQUAL Exchange of Experience Workshop on the
morning of 17 August, prior to the start of the main conference.

The language of the Conference is English.
Deadline for submission of proposals is 30 January
2009.
