Social

The participants enjoyed a variety of formal and informal social events during their four weeks in Wellington. These included an opening dinner with the workshop instructors at one of Wellington’s fine restaurants, and a catered lunch in the School of Information Management to close the workshop. In between, the workshop attendees mixed with the Victoria University Library staff at several morning teas including one near the end of the workshop in which the participants provided a large chocolate cake to thank the Library staff for providing the workshop venue. The participants also visited several of the workshop instructors’ homes and in return the instructors were by the participants to a dinner at their hostel in which they served home-cooked food representing their national cuisines.
