WHAT IS COPEARMS?
COPEARMS groups experts specialised in the consulting and management of Electronic Rights Management Systems (ERMS). It originates from the Copearms ESPRIT project whose main objective was to push ERMS interoperability and security.
ERMS designates any information technology system or tool that provides apropriate technical mechanisms to protect Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) attached with multimedia documents, or to mediate access to digital resources according to specified rights.
ERMS extends the concept of Electronic Copyright Management System (ECMS).
