COPYSMART

COPYSMART Electronic Rights Management System: a demonstration

COPYSMART is an Electronic Rights Managament System using low cost smart card based security technologies.
It provides authentication services, conditional access to protected content, non repudiation mechanisms, encryption and digital signature. CopySmart has benefited from the ERMS Reference Model produced by the Copearms project (e.g dynamic online contract services). This online demonstration is just intended to show how conditional access to an image bank can be achieved using Copysmart Trusted Server. For the sake of simplicity, smart card security services have been removed from this dummy demonstrator. The user therefore doesn't need to be supplied with CopySmart hardware equipment (card reader, smart card, installation kit).

The demonstration of the COPYSMART trusted server can be accessed by following this route:

  1. Connect to http://147.94.32.23/scdemo/nconnexion.html

  2. You will be presented with the Euritis's Trusted Server html page for authentication

    • For access to the TISSUS application only, use login: kevin, password:gordon

    • For access to the NARCISSE application only, use login: madrid, password: madrid

    • For access to both applications, use login: peter, password: martin

    • For access to Copearms / Imprimatur demo:
To retrieve watermarked images, use login: paris, password: paris
To retrieve original images, use login: london, password: london

  3. You will then access the CopySmart Trusted Server homepage. Click on the "application" button on the right frame to display the application you are allowed to access.

  4. You are now connected to an information retrieval system waiting for queries from the user (for example, selecting textile images in the Tissus application using query words based on colour attributes: blue, red etc).
