CITED ERMS Reference ModelAn Electronic Rights Management System (ERMS) aims at protecting interests of right holders and users at any stage in the development and deployment of digital content: creation, dissemination, utilisation. ERMS extends the concept of Electronic Copyright Management System (ECMS).For electronic management purpose, an ERMS organises and identifies assets as digital objects. This document has been prepared with the objective of defining electronic rights management enabling services for inter-operable electronic rights management components within an open and distributed computing environment. The service interfaces are specified with the view of compliance with OMG/CORBA specifications. This document does address security requirements sustaining the ERMS security services.
