Full Day Workshop, Thursday, September 4, 1997

Theme: Access to Information: Serving Persons with Dyslexia

The Section on Libraries Serving Disadvantaged Persons, together with the Section on Reading of IFLA and the European Dyslexia Association will offer a very interesting and stimulating workshop in conjunction with the annual IFLA Conference, to be held August 31 to September 5, 1997, in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Participants will learn about the latest research in dyslexia, about library service and materials for persons with reading and writing difficulties, new media for the weak reader, as well as the public library and the weak reader. At the end of the day there will also be a panel discussion conducted by experts in the field.

The announcement and updates for this workshop will be available on the LSDP homepage on IFLANET (http://www.ifla.org/VII/s9/slsdp.htm) as well as in the next issue of the LSDP Newsletter (Spring 1997) and the IFLA Express for the upcoming conference.
