UNESCO has launched a public consultation on the objectives, practicalities, costs and expected results of a "World Day for Audiovisual Heritage" to be celebrated annually on 27 October to build global awareness of the various issues at stake in preserving the audiovisual heritage. It is vital that all interested parties should contribute to the debate. UNESCO has therefore established an online platform with background documents, a public forum and a questionnaire
