Newcomers Session, Day 1
Of the many informative speakers at this session, Bob McKee, stood out. He gave his Top 7 Tips for a successful IFLA Annual Congress, which I've copied here.
1. Plan your schedule
2. Talk to people
3. Enjoy "informal" IFLA (those discussions that occur in the corridors and cafes)
4. Take advantage of "hidden" IFLA (attend a committee meetings)
5. Relax
6. See the city
7. Enjoy yourself
Well, I plan to follow Bob's advice. So far I've planned my schedule and I'll be attending 2-3 sessions a day. I'm looking forward to the coming week and I'll continue to post updates as the week progresses.
