Association Profile

Botswana Library Association was formed in 1978. Membership of the association is open to all library workers, archivists, bibliographers, all other information workers as well as any other professional who may be interested in joining the association. 

Project Goals

Membership: To increase the membership of BLA, to raise the visibility of the association amongst the profession and the public.
Partnerships: Positioning BLA as the forum for the library and information sector
Professional development: To provide a calendar of activities for members and potential members on important topics
Advocacy: For libraries in society as an important part of the Vision 2016 strategy
