 <title>Ulverscroft/IFLA Best Practice Awards - 2011</title>

The Ulverscroft Foundation and the IFLA Libraries Serving Persons with Print Disabilities Section are pleased to announce the outcome of the bids for funding from the 2011 programme. The Ulverscroft Foundation had made 10,000 Pounds GB available for awards to library workers to assist the development of library services for print disabled people worldwide and to foster cooperation between library services serving these persons.

 <title>Award for Estonian language interfaces for technical devices for blind people</title>

In Estonia, Mother Tongue Day has been celebrated on March 14 since 1999. One of its aims is to highlight and award outstanding actions in the field of the Estonian language. At this year&amp;#8217;s ceremony, the Language in Action Award for 2010 went to a working group formed by the non-profit organization Jumalalaegas and the Estonian Library for the Blind.
