The Jubilee Conference on Friday the 11th of May aims to draw the attention of the European Union both to the risks and threats at stake for libraries and their patrons, and therefore also to the citizens of Europe with the current situation in the volatile market of ebooks in which libraries have very few rights.

In connection with the mid-term business meeting of the IFLA Regional Standing Committee for Asia-Oceania (at the National Library in Auckland on 1-2 February 2012), a Regional Seminar will be held on Friday 3 February, at Auckland Central City Library.

The theme of the seminar is ‘Library and information services for multicultural populations in Oceania and Asia: the promotion of information literacy and digital literacies for the 21st century in support of improved education outcomes’.
