Blue Shield Statement on Christchurch

Following the recent earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand, the Blue Shield expresses its great sorrow for the loss of lives and the destructions the city's cultural heritage sites and institutions suffered.

Swiss libraries with BSF send 2 containers of equipment to Haitian libraries

A number of Swiss libraries, along with assistance from Libraries without borders (BSF), have sent two shipping containers loaded with books and shelving for Haïtian libraries

International Blue Shield's Mission to Haiti - Online Report

The Blue Shield International sent two experts to Port-au-Prince from 11th to 16th of April. Danielle Mincio (IFLA) and Christophe Jacobs (ICA and ANCBS) went there in order to work with our Haitian colleagues.

They have collected all necessary information for the establishment of a Blue Shield center for the treatment of damaged cultural heritage properties.

Official recognition of a new Blue Shield Committee in Haiti

The International Committee on the Blue Shield is very pleased to share with you the official recognition of a new Blue Shield Committee in Haiti.

Our colleagues deployed huge efforts to rescue and protect their rich and unique cultural heritage since January.

The Blue Shield wishes to congratulate them wholeheartedly to decide to set up this National Blue Shield Committee. This is a good occasion for everybody to work in a more closer relationship with this new structure.
