Management and Marketing Section
The Section was formed as the Round Table on Management. A growing interest in marketing resulted in the IFLA Professional Board establishing a new Section on Management and Marketing in 1997. The interest in the Section was evident when over 70 members joined at the start of 1998. New members are always welcome, and encouraged to participate in the work of the Section whether or not they are able to attend the IFLA conferences. Much of the work of the Section is done by email in addition to postal services and now via this website. You can also see our facebook page!

International Workshop-Training “Marketing Your Library: A Customer-Centered Approach” in Moscow
Just before the M&M midterm meeting, Russian State Library invited a “guru of library marketing”, co-author of IFLA Public Libraries Guidelines, Professor , Florida State University (USA) Dr. Christie Koontz to conduct a workshop.
