We need your input!
In cooperation with IFLA, the publisher De Gruyter Saur is currently undertaking an update of the “World Guide to Library, Archive and Information Science Associations."
The new 3rd edition is scheduled for publication in June 2010.
Non-profit associations concerned with the fields of librarianship,
documentation, information science and archives, operating on an
international or national level will be included free of charge.
Entries provide information regarding contact details as well as
funding, staff, activities, publications etc.
The editorial team is looking for all possible resource material
including first-hand feedback from associations in order to provide
once more an up-to-date and comprehensive reference tool for networking
within the LIS field. In a multi-tiered process, the editors will get
in touch with LIS associations and key contacts all over the world
asking for information details.
Control sheets by country
We are kindly asking for
their help all those who are familiar with the situation of LIS
associations in their home country or abroad. Please contribute to the
survey and consult the control sheets which
provide an overview by country over the associations listed in the
previous edition of the handbook. If you find anything missing or
outdated, please give your feedback directly to the editorial team:
Print the control sheet, indicate your corrections and send it back by fax to +49 89 76 90 21 55.
Where necessary, you can include extra pages with additional
information. You may as well reply by email attaching additional files
if necessary.
