Xiamen Pupils’ Cartoon Summer Camp Being Held in Xiamen Children’s Library
Xiamen Pupils’ Cartoon Summer Camp ,which with a theme “Love for the South of Fujian and China” , was holding an opening ceremory in Xiamen Children’s Library on Jul.6th,2009. Curator of the library and officials from the Bureau of Education of Xiamen participated the ceremony. 103 pupils from all districts of Xiamen city attended the five-days-summer camp programmes, which were colorful and enchanting. Lectures like “ winning entries appreciation”, “cartoon character modelling and tendency”, “ local conditions and customs of Southern Fujian” greatly stimulated students to the cartoon creation enthusiasm. Jul.10th, excellent students from the summer camp took photos with teachers, giving the summer camp a happy ending. Studetns said that the cartoon summer camp provided them a good opportunity to improve their drawing skills, and they all benefited from it. The cartoon summer camp is being held by the Bureau of Education of Xiamen and Xiamen Children’s Library this year, which aims to enrich the pupils’ summer vacation life and provide them learning and communicating opportunities, as well as giving them artistic direction and improving their drawing skills.
