Indigenous knowledge

Awareness and preservation of indigenous knowledge is becoming more important in the international library community. The Special Interest Group for Indigenous Matters engages the community in current issues.

Indigenous knowledge is about the preservation of tangible and intangible heritage of indigenous people worldwide.

IFLA President, Ingrid Parent, dedicated her first presidential meeting  to the subject of indigenous knowledge.
