IFLA Global Vision 2018 roadmap

Ideas Store

Ideas StoreLaunched during the 2018 World Library and Information Congress in Kuala Lumpur, the Global Vision Ideas Store will be the biggest ideas store for actions to make the Global Vision a reality. It will provide a source of inspiration for the strategic and daily work of librarians which will drive the Global Vision’s ultimate goal, to create a strong and united library field powering literate, informed and participative societies, further forward. Everyone is welcome to contribute ideas that will help define the strategy. Our online platform for collecting ideas is available in all seven IFLA languages and submissions can be made in any of those languages.

IFLA Global Vision Report

The full IFLA Global Vision Report was released during the 2018 World Library and Information Congress in Kuala Lumpur. The report is the result of contributions from colleagues from 190 countries and all seven continents. It shows that across all regions, all library types, and lengths of library experience, we share a deep commitment to the enduring value and role of libraries. And across the global library field, no value was more highly rated than a commitment to equal and free access to information and knowledge.
