Culture and Education are at the core of the work we do in IFLA’s Section on Libraries for Children and Young Adults (C&YA), especially in literacy. We have two programs that use books to expand the worldview of young people. IFLA attended a meeting of the UNESCO World Book Capital Network in Wroclaw, Poland, on 22-23 September, bringing the perspective of the global library field as the participating cities formally signed the Network charter, and made plans for future actions. Read More
On the occasion of the mid-term meeting of IFLA’s Regional Division Committee for Latin America and the Caribbean, a memorandum of understanding was signed between IFLA and CERLALC, the Centre for the Promotion of Books and Reading in Latin America and the Caribbean.
