The Government Libraries and Library and Research Services for Parliaments Sections invite proposals for papers to be presented at a two-hour programme in the next IFLA General Conference to be held on August 2016 in Columbus, Ohio, USA.

The joint session aims to address the ways that Government agencies and Parliaments with information and research services are leading or facilitating the creation of communities of practice, defined as groups of people – whether, Parliamentarians & Officials, Government Ministers & policy-makers & Civil Servants, librarians or experts – joining-up to solve organizational problems/challenges or tackle specific public issues. We welcome proposals from individuals and organizations who can share innovative views, methods and current implementations regarding communities of practices in the context of libraries or Government/Parliamentary units.
