Faced with some of the world’s most acute development challenges, Africa needs to draw on all of its innovative potential.

Information – and equitable access to it – will play a key role in achieving this, and libraries across the continent are working hard to deliver.

The 3rd Round Table of Ministers Responsible for Public Libraries in Africa, organised by African Libraries and Information Associations (AfLIA) is an opportunity to look at progress made, over the last four years, and to highlight good practices in terms fo realising the potential of libraries.

IFLA Seceretary General will be attending the event, and making a speech on the subject of the duty of governments to deliver the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and the African Union 2063 Agenda.
