In many institutions, preservation (physical and digital) plays an increasingly important role, and the efforts in terms of staffing and investment in this area are rising. But what about the performance review, both in terms of measures applied (which are often carried out with external service providers), as well as in terms of the internal library processes themselves?

How should these processes be organized, what tools are necessary and in use, what standards are available?  How do libraries solve the problem of systematic documentation and single item tracking? How will heritage institutions manage the increasing requirements with no extra provision of resources?

We seek pragmatic use-cases and examples to enable a discussion on best practice and exchange on this topic.
