The IFLA Audiovisual and Multimedia Section, joined by the IFLA Preservation and Conservation Section and the Strategic Programme on Preservation and Conservation (PAC), invite interested professionals to submit proposals for the open session to be held during IFLA WLIC in Athens, Greece, from 24-30 August 2019.

This year the theme is "It's good to preserve, it's even better to share: Sound and visual cultural heritage in local communities"

Do you have unique audiovisual materials that are significant to, and used by, your local community? Are you collecting and preserving oral histories? Do you have experience holding home movie days in your town, school, or university, where community members share local history content or learn about preserving their personal film and video archives?

We encourage papers that address how libraries support communities and individuals in documenting and preserving their histories and heritage. We are also interested in libraries’ curating and making these collections locally and globally accessible.

Deadline for submission of proposals is 15 February 2019

Details and more information are available on the IFLA WLIC 2019 website of call for papers,
