About the New Professionals Special Interest Group
As a special interest group within IFLA, NPSIG works as an open network with a flexible structure. By interacting with us online and at our events, you can stay up to date with the group. Association membership (IFLA or otherwise) is not required.
Being active with NPSIG carries many benefits for LIS students and new graduates, including expanding your professional network; getting introduced to the IFLA network and association work on an international level; and staying informed about issues important to both you as a new professional and our field at large.
Last but certainly not least, by being active with NPSIG you can make friendships with other new librarians around the globe.

Getting Involved with NPSIG
In addition to the various NPSIG social media channels, we also host periodic online virtual business meetings. These meetings go over general developments in the group, upcoming events, and future plans. They’re also a great chance to meet others active in NPSIG.
We’re always looking for volunteers to assist with our projects and events! If you’d like to gain experience with any of the following areas, contact us at npsig.ifla[at]gmail.com.
