IFLA will participate in the 2nd Memory of the World Global Policy Forum on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management for Sustainable Preservation of Documentary Heritage.

This Forum is aimed at policy makers, memory institutions, and other stakeholders working to implement the UNESCO 2015 Recommendation concerning the preservation of, and access to, documentary heritage including in digital form.

IFLA will participate as a speaker to share information on how the federation supports disaster risk reduction efforts. This will especially highlight the IFLA Register for Documentary Heritage at Risk and how it can help build capacity for the sustainable preservation of documentary heritage, especially in the face of risk due to natural disaster, climate change, and armed conflict.
