IFLA is excited to contribute to a Side Event as part of the Transforming Education Pre-Summit, which is being hosted by UNESCO from 28-30 June, 2022.

An IFLA representative will take part in a panel discussion for the event, Transforming Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) with FAIR OERRs, Digital Innovation, and Diamond Partnerships. This side event is being organised by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network, SDG Academy, The Permanent Mission of Ireland to the United Nations, the Center for Sustainable Development, Columbia University, and Mission 4.7.

This event will bring together a range of stakeholders from government, intergovernmental organisations, civil society, academia, and the private sector to discuss digital innovation and partnerships on FAIR Open Educational Resource Repositories. The resulting dialogue is expected to result in recommendations towards furthering the application of such resources for achievement of SDG Target 4.7 (education for sustainable development).

IFLA is looking forward to highlighting the unique contribution of library and information professionals, working in all types of libraries, to the creation of open knowledge systems that support education for sustainable development.
