During its 100th anniversary year, the Library for Foreign Literature is inviting you to take part in the 5th annual Interdisciplinary Scientific and Practical Conference: “Rare Books in Terms of Preservation” in hybrid format.

The Library for Foreign Literature is host to one of IFLA’s Preservation and Conservation (PAC) Centres, focussing on supporting preservation and conservation needs for the CIS and Eastern Europe, with a specialisation on rare books.

Claire McGuire, Policy and Research Officer at IFLA Headquarters will take part in the conference, speaking to how PAC Centres contribute to IFLA’s Strategy 2019-2024 and help make IFLA’s vision a reality.

The programme will also feature an International Seminar on “Preservation of Digital Heritage”. This will invite several international experts on digitisation and digital preservation, including involvement of IFLA’s PAC Centre hosted at the National Library of Poland.
