Description

Advocacy: a key issue for staff in library associations and libraries around the world. What issues and approaches can and must we launch to successfully strengthen the visibility and relevance of library services on a local and regional level? Can we develop common strategies for strengthening advocacy? These questions will be explored by the Management of Library Associations Section (MLAS) in three events by time zone with breakout rooms in all seven IFLA languages during the WLIC. The results from the various meetings will be compiled in a closing event on 19 August. And as a prelude to the 3 sessions, colleagues from all over the world will share their experiences on challenges and opportunities with us in short video clips.
The Power of Networking – let’s work on the development of a worldwide strategy to improve our advocacy work!
