IFLA is participating in a key project meeting as part of the EU-funded HERMES project on strengthening digital resource sharing during COVID-19 and beyond.

Building strongly on the experience and energy of of IFLA’s Document Delivery and Resource Sharing’s RSCVD (Resource Sharing during COVID) initiative, the HERMES project looks to advance access to information further, on a more sustainable basis.

Through developing a new resource publication, software supporting resource sharing, and delivering training to libraries, students and researchers, the project will provide tools that support libraries not just in Europe, but around the world.

The project meeting is focused on reviewing progress so far, and planning for sharing project outputs most effectively with the wider library field.

The Project is taking part under the leadership of the National Research Council Library in Bologna, the University of Balamand (Lebanon), the University of Cantabria (Spain), and MEF University (Turkey), as well as IFLA, with members of IFLA’s Document Delivery and Resource Sharing Section playing an essential role.
