Building Resilience: local solutions for diverse challenges

IFLA’s Library Buildings and Equipment Section (LBES) 2022-2023 webinet series is entitled, “Building Resilience: local solutions for diverse challenges.”  Webinet #5 will shine a light on small-but-mighty library building projects that support and enhance inclusive, sustainable, resilient communities around the globe.

Day and Time: November 22, 2022 at 6 p.m. (AEDT)

Three presentations will be featured:

  • Emma Alfredsson will share how collaboration and co-creation were used to develop an innovative meeting place and new premises for Idé A Drottninghög (part of Helsingborg’s library)
  • Dr Gintarė Tautkevičienė will present on university libraries and meeting community needs in Lithuania
  • Tetiana Hranchak will discuss the resilience of libraries in Ukraine, in the face of war.

Following the presentations, Kat Cuttriss will explore themes with our speakers in conversation. Then, Philip Kent will take questions from our audience, for our panellists to respond to.

The webinet will last approximately 75 minutes, and will be recorded and made available for later viewing on the IFLA LBES YouTube channel.
