IFLA is welcoming responses to a call for proposals designed to develop the ability across our community to turn our knowledge into effective online and mixed learning experiences. This work is made possible by a grant from Stichting IFLA Global Libraries (SIGL). Deadline: 23 October 2024.

Across IFLA’s volunteer groups and wider community, there is a wealth of knowledge about how to provide great library services to communities. Our different committees already run a rich and diverse programme of activities which help to share this for the benefit of the profession as a whole.

We are keen to continue to develop learning opportunities for library and information workers everywhere, in particular for those who have not received formal education, as well as emerging leaders and lifelong learners.

To do this, we are launching a call for proposals for an individual or organisation able to provide training on how best to offer online and mixed learning most effectively. The resulting short course should be available to a group of IFLA volunteers and members of our community, who will then benefit from coaching to turn their experience into practical learning materials.

In particular, we welcome bids from individuals or organisations with experience of designing training courses for people on a variety of topics and at different skill levels.

You can read more in the full call for proposals (Word, PDF). The deadline is 23 October.

This project is made possible by a grant from Stichting IFLA Global Libraries (SIGL), which was set up to administer the grant awarded to IFLA by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
