LDP Advisory Committee

The Library Development Advisory Committee is the result of merging the former Action for Development through Libraries Programme (ALP) committee and the former International Advocacy Programme (IAP) Steering Committee.

Library Development Advisory Committee (LDAC)

The Library Development Advisory Committee provides advice to the Secretary General and the Governing Board on the strategy of Library Development, its activities including training materials and resources. The LDAC is connected to Strategic Direction 4 of the Strategic Plan 2016-2021.

Members

The LDAC consists of 7 members:

  1. President-elect (Chair)
  2. 3 members of the Governing Board
  3. Chair of MLAS Committee (ex-officio)
  4. Chair of Division V (ex-officio)
  5. Manager Development Programmes (MDP, ex-officio) is non-voting

The MDP is responsible for secretariat support to LDAC.

Communication

LDAC (via the MDP) will publish regularly on its webpages on the progress of all projects like BSLA, IAP, ILP and others.
