IFLAPARL Call for Presentations, WLIC 2018, Kuala Lumpur The Section on Library and Research Services for Parliaments (IFLAPARL) has issued a call for presentations for its open session at WLIC 2018. This interactive knowledge sharing session will focus on the theme "Transforming Library & Research Services for Parliamentary Impact".

The Valparaíso Declaration affirming cooperation among parliamentary libraries of Latin America and the Caribbean was signed at the IFLA Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) Section meeting on 15 March 2017.
The Association of Parliamentary Libraries in Canada (APLIC) is pleased to announce its new website. Completely redesigned, visitors can learn more about the Association and its members. The Member Vignettes highlight interesting facts and historical notes about each jurisdiction. The Government and Legislative Libraries Online Publications Portal (GALLOP Portal) provides access to over 475,000 fulltext documents from contributing jurisdictions as well as the federal Depository Services Program.

Delegates from the Parliament of India participated in the recent IFLAPARL pre-conference in Washington, D.C. and were inspired to share their story on how their library and research service is connecting parliamentarians to quality information. The Section on Library and Research Services for Parliaments invites proposals for short presentations for an interactive knowledge sharing session at the IFLA WLIC 2016 in Columbus, Ohio. The sessions will focus on the theme 'Meeting the needs of parliamentary clients'.
The annual seminar of ECPRD (European Centre of Parliamentary Research and Documentation) Area of Interest Libraries, Research Services and Archives was held on 24-25 September in Budapest, hosted by the Hungarian National Assembly. The meeting was attended by 67 participants from 32 countries representing 38 parliaments (chambers) and ECPRD.
Presentations from the 2015 IFLAPARL Pre-Conference and notes on the Workshop on the Guidelines for Parliamentary Research Services have been posted on the website of the Section on Library and Research Services for Parliaments.
The Guidelines for Parliamentary Research Services, a joint publication between IFLA and the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), was launched today at the Section’s pre-conference in Cape Town.
