NOIR action plan for 2016 unveiled

By Guido Jansen

As a result of a dialogue started at its Business Meeting during WLIC 2015 in Cape Town, the Special Interest Group "National Organisations and International Relations" has developed a new action plan for 2016.

In a concise and realistic fashion, the document outlines what the group is setting out to achieve in the near future. Growing its network of international relations experts in national library organisations and institutions will continue to be central to its remit. Its main objective, however, has been slightly re-focussed to comprise the generation of  "greater awareness for the added value of strategy-driven, well-organised International Relations in the library and information field", thereby contributing to IFLA's capacity building agenda.
