Invitation to submit proposals for chapters

In 2017, the IFLA Health and Biosciences Libraries Section and De Gruyter Saur will publish a book titled:

Action to impact: librarians working at the heart of health communities

We want to hear from librarians meeting the challenge of moving beyond their well-established roles to take their place at the heart of professional, social or educational communities.

You may be contributing to health literacy, working directly with clinicians in hospital wards, advising researchers on research design or data management, teaching, writing or informing policy or taking leading roles in technological innovations.

If you have a story to tell we would like to hear it.  Please help us to make this a real contribution to understanding both how the role of the health librarian has changed and how to meet the opportunities and challenges we face as a profession.

We particularly welcome evaluative studies or reviews of aspects of health services from the perspective of library and information science. Authors from Asia, northern Europe and Australia and Africa are especially encouraged to submit proposals.
