The IFLA Religions: Libraries and Dialogue Special Interest Group invite interested professionals to submit proposals for the open session to be held during IFLA WLIC in Wrocław, Poland, from 19-25 August 2017. In keeping with the thematic focus of the next World Library Information Congress, “Libraries, Solidarity, Society”, the IFLA SIG propose a session. It will be organised on the theme:

“Interreligious dialogue as Library Initiatives demonstrating societal solidarity”.

Our aim is to show that the initiatives of libraries in the field of the interreligious dialogue can contribute to the building of a society by fostering solidarity. These initiatives organised by librarians can be meetings for example or bibliographic tools or technical tools, fostering cultural understanding in the interreligious field.

Deadline for submissions of abstracts: 28 February 2017.
