40th anniversary of the Section on Education and Training

Over the past four decades, the Section on Education and Training (SET) has supported and enhanced library and information science (LIS) education and training based on research and professional practice on an international scale.
In 2014, SET celebrates its 40th anniversary with an off-site summit on Monday, 18 August 2014 at the École Nationale Supérieure des Sciences de l'Information et des Bibliothèques (ENSSIB).
The theme of the Summit is Library and Information Education and Training: Confluence of Past and Present Toward a Strong Future.
The Summit will address the history and future of the Section of Education and Training (SET) through a collaborative forum for critical discussion. The event includes keynote presentations, panel discussions and Ignite sessions.
