IFLA professional structure update

By Claire McGuire

A new SIG has been given approval by the PC: the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer/Questioning Users SIG (LGBTQ SIG for short) now has a set of web pages, where you can find out more about their mission, and an active Facebook page and Twitter feed. The SIG was approved by the PC in December 2013 after it met in Singapore during the 2013 WLIC, and obtained approval by the Acquisition and Collection Development Section to sponsor it.

The PC has approved the discontinuation of the RFID SIG on the recommendation of the sponsoring Section (IT) after they were unable to find a new convener. The RFID SIG web pages now indicate this closure.
