IFLA MetLib Conference 2019 in Helsinki – Call for proposals

The MetLib Conference is the annual gathering of metropolitan libraries, held by the IFLA Section on Metropolitan Libraries. MetLib 2019 is hosted by the Helsinki City Library and the conference will take place in the newly opened Helsinki Central Library Oodi from Wednesday, 8th of May to Friday, 10th of May.

The MetLib participants can also take part in an open international library conference, Reshape, that takes place in Oodi 6-7th of May.

We are pleased to invite you to participate and to submit your paper that you would like to present at MetLib 2019 Conference. Please fill in the form here and send it to conferences.library@hel.fi .

The theme of the Conference is Reshaping lives and libraries and we are approaching the topic via issues like changes in the working culture, digitalization and innovative partnerships. The program will explore these topics in the context of metropolitan lives both in the viewpoint of library users and staff.

We are looking for speakers for pecha kucha sessions as well as longer talks up to 30 minutes. If you want to share your experiences, ideas or best practices on the topics above, please send your ideas by 24th of February 2019.
