Call for Papers - Repositioning Libraries in the Asia Pacific Region - Evolving Strategies, Innovative Services

By Premila Gamage

In keeping with the conference’s overall theme, Dynamic Libraries: Access, Development and Transformation, the Asia and Oceania Open Session will focus on how libraries respond to opportunities for empowering citizens, enhancing learning, and adopting ICTs to name a few, and what this might mean for librarians in terms of their knowledge, skills and attitude.

We seek contributions that illustrate the different ways in which libraries in Asia and Oceania are repositioning themselves to enhance their effectiveness and impact.

We encourage professionals across the region to submit proposals for papers on a topic of their choice relating to the session theme.

Deadline for Proposals: 31 January 2014

The full call for papers is available on the IFLA WLIC 2015 website.
