Library Service to People in Prisons

The IFLA Working Group on Prison Libraries was established in 2019, mainly to update the IFLA Guidelines for Library Services to Prisoners (2005).

Further projects, timelines and (virtual) meetings are listed in the Action Plan of the Working Group.

An Email Listserv will be established to facilitate communication between the Working Group, prison librarians and interested stakeholders from all over the world.

A bibliography with research documents and an overview of practical and useful working tools is constantly updated.
