Innovating and enterprising for libraries in development initiatives: interview with Merve Yavuzdemir

At the heart of the work of IFLA and the library field as a whole around the SDGs is the fact that libraries are partners for development, across the policy agenda. Libraries Engage at the Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development

The IFLA Asia Oceania Regional Division Committee participated at the 9th Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development, which was organised by the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP) and took place in a hybrid mode - physically in Bangkok, Thailand from 28-31 March. The IFLA AO RDC sent a representation committee to physically attend the Forum, while also organised the webinar “Informed societies at the foundation of a better post-COVID world” as one of the Forum’s side events.
