Ingrid Parent introduced the Building Strong Library Associations Programme (the BSLA Programme). Library associations are an essential part of the library and information profession and the programme will support building and sustaining library associations. Three countries will be selected by IFLA each year for three years and Ellen Tise announced that the selected countries for 2010 are Cameroon, Lebanon and Peru.
