Vanha ylioppilastalo – the Old Student House

The ”nightspot” is an after hours venue where congress attendees can meet and mingle. It houses a pub, café, and an event hall with a stage. In Helsinki, the “nightspot” location will be at the Vanha Ylioppilastalo—the Old Student House. 

It is a historical building built and owned by the student union of the Helsinki University, but managed by a separate entity. It is well known within Finland and it is a very popular meeting place and event venue.

Over 600 delegates asked themselves that question on Tuesday, when a lecture was given by Professor Yrjö Engeström, who has been involved in a long-lasting library research and development project, “Knotworking”.

Knotworking is based on a boundary crossing, collective way to organize work.
