UDC ConsortiumThe Universal Decimal Classification (UDC) editorial team will hold its Annual IFLA Update meeting today. Members of the Editorial team will give a short presentation about UDC content development, translation services and the new Multilingual UDC Online. Colleagues working with, teaching or doing research on UDC are invited to join us.

This meeting will be an opportunity to hear more about the progress of the UDC Summary online, which is now available in 51 languages. There will also be more information about the forthcoming International UDC Seminar 2013 "Classification & Visualization: Interfaces to Knowledge" which will take place in the National Library of the Netherlands in The Hague, 24-25 October.


Help improve the IFLA Congress

All Congress attendees will be sent an invitation to take an Online evaluation of this year’s WLIC.Please take a moment to fill out the survey and help us improve the IFLA Congress.

A link to the survey will be sent out to all registrants by email approximately one week after the Congress. The survey will be available in all seven official IFLA Languages.

IFLA's Strategic Programmes enable the continuation of our goals in areas such as advocacy, preservation and conservation, freedom of access to information, library development in developing countries, intellectual property, bibliographic standards and digital libraries. Currently IFLA is working on 5 strategic key initiatives:

  • Digital Content Programme
  • IFLA International Librarianship Leadership Development Programme
  • Outreach Programme for Advocacy and Advancement of the Profession
  • Cultural Heritage Disaster Reconstruction Programme
  • Multilingualism Programme

Members are very welcome to donate to these strategic activities.
