Libraries Serving Persons with Print Disabilities Section

Let's Read! Reading and Print Disabilities in Young People

8-9 August 2012

Nordic Hotel Forum, Tallinn, Estonia

This IFLA WLIC 2012 preconference is organised by IFLA Libraries Serving Persons with Print Disabilities Section (LPD) in cooperation with the Estonian Reading Association and the Estonian Library for the Blind.

The conference will highlight the importance of delivering special library services for children and youngsters with print disabilities (e.g. visual impairment) or reading difficulties (e.g. dyslexia) and show you how to improve your services through co-operation and partnership with schools and reading associations.

Have you developed and delivered an innovative service for blind, partially sighted, dyslexic or otherwise print disabled child or teenager? Why did you do it? What was different about it? Who was involved? What was the result? Could you inform and inspire an international audience in just 15 minutes?
