Call for Papers

Committee on Standards

Theme:
Future standards: infinite possibilities

العربية

The IFLA Committee on Standards invites papers to be presented at 79th IFLA General Conference and Assembly, Singapore, August 2013.

Over the last 50 years, IFLA has produced a wide range of standards in all fields of library and information services. IFLA professional units have been very active in identifying and responding to the need of having common set of rules and practices that ensure high quality information and library services. In the ever evolving international information and library environment, new activities and services are created and IFLA will need to respond to these new demands.

Contributions are invited on topics such as:

  • Gaps in IFLA standards or areas which would benefit from revision
  • Developing standards in new library and information areas
  • Cooperation in developing standards
  • Working with other standards organisations
  • Competences and skills in standards work
  • Best practices in standards work
