50 years of the Sciences Library at the Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University

Built in 1964 on La Doua campus, the BU Sciences Library (Bibliothèque Universitaire de Science) is celebrating its 50th anniversary. On this occasion, the library invites you to discover the exhibition "BU Science: 50 years! " from 10th June to 5th September 2014 in the Library Hall of the Sciences Library.

While you're attending IFLA WLIC 2014, come and discover a half century of history of a truly innovative library!

Access to the exhibition is free and you will learn more about the recent history of the library through a broad range of photographs. This exhibit is both a journey through time and a chance to visit a contemporary and welcoming library. And if you want to have some fun, be sure to photograph yourself as an old-school librarian or a futuristic librarian before leaving…

A catalog will be available in English for non-French speakers.

As part of the French National Committee's WLIC 2014 organizing efforts, the library Lyon 1 will offer several tours of its premises from August 16 to 22. Delegates and volunteers: this is a great opportunity to visit the exhibition!
