IFLA's Strategic Programmes enable the continuation of our goals in areas such as advocacy, preservation and conservation, freedom of access to information, library development in developing countries, intellectual property, bibliographic standards and digital libraries. Currently IFLA is working on four strategic Key Initiatives:

• Digital Content Programme
• International Librarianship Leadership Development Programme
• Outreach for Advocacy and Advancement of the Library and Information sector
• Cultural Heritage Disaster Reconstruction Programme
