Regional Offices
IFLA has Regional Offices in Africa, Asia and Oceania, and Latin America and the Caribbean. They work with IFLA Headquarters to support IFLA’s outreach in their region, as well as to support Members’ own engagement in IFLA’s work.
They can have an important role in facilitating the dissemination and sharing of information, and in helping to organise events.
IFLA HQ supports each Regional Office by continuous communications and liaison around IFLA’s strategic, outreach, advocacy and professional activities. Each Regional Office works closely with the Division Committee of its corresponding Region, supporting them in carrying out IFLA activities.
Other responsibilities include providing support to library associations in their region and liaising with IFLA HQ to assist with the implementation of the IFLA Strategy.
